A civil site engineer is needed by a highly successful, medium-sized civil engineering contractor.
Site Engineer – Civil Engineering
Location: Glasgow & Central Belt (within 1 hour of Glasgow)
Salary: £45-60,000 + package + company vehicle
About the Role
A well-established civil engineering contractor based in the West of Scotland is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support a growing portfolio of projects across Glasgow and the Central Belt. With a strong and sustained workload secured within a one-hour radius of Glasgow, this is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and expanding business.
The Role
You will play a key role in the successful delivery of a range of civil engineering projects, working closely with site management to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
Setting out and surveying works in line with technical drawings and specifications
Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and design engineers
Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety standards
Interpreting and reviewing technical drawings, identifying any issues
Maintaining accurate QA documentation and as-built records
Supporting planning and programme delivery on site
Assisting site and project management teams with daily operations.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering
Strong setting-out capability using GPS / Total Station equipment
Experience within infrastructure, groundworks, or general civils projects
HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar)
Good knowledge of health & safety regulations
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Full UK driving licence
