We are seeking an experienced and commercially aware Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of construction projects across a range of sectors and contract values. Projects may range from specialist works such as fire door installations and compliance upgrades through to major refurbishment and construction schemes valued between 10 million and 15 million.

This is primarily a site-based/static role, with the successful candidate based on a designated project. However, there may be occasional requirements to attend the head office or other company locations for meetings, reporting, or commercial reviews.

• Preparing and issuing sub-contract enquiries to an approved supply chain as well as evaluating tender returns and preparing comparison assessment of quotations upon receipt
• Performing value management and cost control activities for the benefit of the contract
• Managing the change control process, capturing, notifying, and agreeing variations and contractual claims
• Maintaining awareness of different contracts, ensuring all current legislations and document control is adhered to
• Valuing works and preparing payment application to clients and payment notices to sub-contractors
• Proactively managing cashflow and chasing cash collection to ensure prompt payment
• Monitoring and reporting forecast against actual costs and value throughout the programme of activities, including site visits where required
• Preparing and analysing profit, loss reports and cost savings in support of the contract and for the Management Team to review
• To be able to build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, clients, and supply chains.
• A basic understanding of contract law
