An established main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Manager to join its team on a major multi-storey refurbishment project.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a prestigious scheme involving both internal and external refurbishment works, including elements of heritage restoration. You’ll play a key role in managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest standards.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, leading subcontractors and direct labour throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day running of a large refurbishment project.
• Oversee all subcontractors and direct labour on site.
• Coordinate multiple trades to ensure works progress in line with programme.
• Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and quality.
• Carry out site inspections and ensure works are completed to specification.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to drive programme and resolve site issues.
• Produce site records and progress updates.
• Ensure efficient site logistics and the smooth coordination of all site activities.

About You

To be considered, you’ll have:

• Proven experience as a no1 Site Manager working for a main contractor.
• Experience delivering refurbishment projects.
• Some exposure to heritage or listed building projects
• Experience working on multi-storey buildings.
• Strong experience managing subcontractors, direct labour and site operations.
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills with the ability to drive programme.
