Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Site Manager/Agent for a long-term contract in the rail sector. This opportunity is outside IR35 and involves both office-based and site works, with a focus on rail works including UTX, URX, troughing, REB’s, and drainage works. The role suits someone who has progressed through the ranks from labourer or groundworker to supervisory or managerial roles and has a solid understanding of engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage site works efficiently and effectively
Act as the primary point of contact on-site, liaising with clients and providing regular updates
Oversee rail works including UTX, URX, troughing, REB’s, and drainage works
Understand and interpret engineering drawings and principles to ensure accurate execution of works
Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with industry standards
Supervise site staff and ensure high standards of safety and productivity
Coordinate office-based tasks related to site management
Maintain flexibility to work across various locations as projects demand
Job Requirements:
Experience in Rail Civils as a Sub Agent, Site Manager, or Site Agent
Understanding of engineering principles, including levels and gradients
EXperience in managing site works within the rail sector
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
Excellent communication and client liaison skills
Strong organisational and leadership abilities
Capability to handle both office-based and site-based tasks
Flexible approach to work locations and project demands
