Bid Lead Cut & Carve Infrastructure Reinforced Concrete – HYBRID

London £100k to £120k + Package (3 days office/2 days WFH)

We re working with a highly respected specialist contractor that is looking to appoint an experienced Bid Lead to join their growing pre-construction team.

You ll be leading major, technically complex tenders, working alongside some of the best people in the industry and helping shape projects before they ever reach site.

If your background is in cut & carve, reinforced concrete, structural works, infrastructure or complex civil engineering, whether in bids or Project Management, I’d be keen to hear from you.

As Bid Lead, you’ll take ownership of major tenders from opportunity through to submission and handover.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading the overall bid strategy and developing compelling win themes.
• Bringing together estimating, commercial, planning, engineering, design and operations teams.
• Developing credible construction methodologies for complex projects.
• Challenging the team to identify innovation, value engineering and programme opportunities.
• Managing the full bid programme and ensuring submissions are delivered to an exceptional standard.
• Working closely with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
• Leading tender reviews, adjudications, presentations and interviews.
• Ensuring the bid tells a clear and compelling story technically, commercially and operationally.

You’ll be involved in bids for projects where technical understanding really matters:

Cut & Carve Reinforced Concrete Infrastructure Basements Structural Works Complex Urban Construction Heavy Civils

Sectors: commercial, nuclear, aviation, marine, infrastructure, data centres.

Think challenging sites, complex interfaces, significant temporary works, difficult logistics and projects where getting the methodology right can make the difference between winning and losing.

We’re interested in speaking with experienced Bid Leads / Pre-Construction professionals or Project Managers (who fancy a switch to preconstruction). The key is to have a strong understanding of how complex construction projects are actually delivered.

You’ll ideally bring:

• A proven track record of leading successful construction or infrastructure bids or delivering schemes as PM
• Experience with cut & carve, reinforced concrete, structural or civil engineering projects.
• Strong technical and construction methodology knowledge.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to work closely with estimators and commercial teams.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills.
• The confidence to lead multidisciplinary teams and challenge senior stakeholders.
• Experience presenting bids and leading client interviews.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who can confidently lead bids – not simply how to administer a tender.
