Conrad Consulting is delighted to be working with a leading construction and property consultancy to recruit an experienced Commercial Manager to join a major infrastructure programme.

This position offers the opportunity to provide commercial assurance across significant civil engineering works, supporting cost certainty, procurement and effective commercial governance.

The Role

You’ll work alongside experienced commercial professionals reviewing contractor proposals, undertaking Target Outturn Cost (TOC) assurance and supporting commercial decision-making across complex infrastructure packages.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake Target Outturn Cost (TOC) assurance reviews.
• Review contractor estimates and commercial submissions.
• Support procurement activities and commercial evaluations.
• Carry out cost reviews and commercial risk assessments.
• Challenge assumptions and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Produce commercial reports and recommendations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.

About You

You’ll have:

• Experience working on major infrastructure or heavy civil engineering projects.
• Background in quantity surveying, commercial management and estimating.
• Experience undertaking TOC assurance, cost reviews or commercial assurance activities.
• Good understanding of procurement processes and NEC contracts.
• Ideally 12+ years’ industry experience.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
