Manufacturing Site Manager

Salary: 80,000 to 85,000 basic plus up to 15% annual bonus
Package: OTE up to 97,750
Location: Hertford

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a well established manufacturing business that forms part of a larger international group with operations across multiple countries.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Site Manager, Operations Manager, Factory Manager, Plant Manager or General Manager to take full responsibility for a successful manufacturing operation.

The business is ambitious, investing in growth and looking for a driven leader who can bring energy, accountability and a continuous improvement mindset. For the right individual, there will be genuine opportunities for progression within the wider group.

Reporting into senior leadership, you will have overall responsibility for site performance, managing a team of 45 employees through 8 direct reports. You will lead all operational and commercial aspects of the facility, ensuring the site delivers against performance, quality, customer and financial objectives.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and develop a team of 8 direct reports and approximately 45 employees across the site

• Take full responsibility for site performance, productivity and operational excellence

• Manage the site’s P&L and deliver against financial targets

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing, production and business operations

• Ensure customer requirements are met through effective planning and operational management

• Oversee production, quality, engineering, maintenance and health and safety activities

• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with wider group objectives

• Monitor KPIs and use data to improve efficiency, quality and profitability

• Build a high performance culture focused on accountability, engagement and development

• Work closely with senior leadership and group stakeholders to support future growth

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Manufacturing Site Manager, Operations Manager, Factory Manager, Plant Manager, Manufacturing Manager or General Manager within a manufacturing environment

• Proven experience managing a complete manufacturing or production facility

• Strong leadership skills with experience managing managers and departmental leaders

• Demonstrable P&L management experience

• Track record of improving operational performance and driving business growth

• Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance operational and financial objectives

• Experience leading teams through change, improvement and growth initiatives

• A proactive, energetic and hands on leadership style

• Ambition to progress and develop within a growing international organisation
