Multi Trade Operative (Plastering Bias)

Salary: Up to £40,660 per annum

Temporary to Permanent Full-Time

We are currently working in partnership with a leading social housing maintenance contractor to recruit an experienced Multi Trade Operative with a strong plastering background to join their responsive repairs and maintenance team covering West London.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation offering long-term job security, career progression and a varied workload within occupied social housing properties.

The Role

• Carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance within occupied social housing properties
• Completing plastering repairs, patch plastering and making good to a high standard
• Undertaking basic plumbing and carpentry repairs where required
• Carrying out general multi-trade maintenance works
• Diagnosing faults and completing first-time fixes wherever possible
• Ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
• Updating job information using PDA/mobile working systems
• Delivering excellent customer service while working within residents’ homes

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Multi Trade Operative within social housing, housing associations, local authorities or domestic property maintenance
• Strong plastering skills with experience carrying out reactive repairs
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing and carpentry
• Experience working within occupied properties
• Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and complete first-time fixes
• Experience using PDA or mobile working devices
• NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds or equivalent trade qualification preferred
• Full UK Driving Licence
