We’re looking for an experienced Project Quality Engineer to support the delivery of a major onshore HVDC transmission project under an EPC framework. You’ll ensure all engineering, procurement, manufacturing, civil works, installation, and commissioning activities meet top-quality, safety, and regulatory standards, acting as a key link between contractors, suppliers, site teams, and project leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Project Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans, and procedures aligned with EPC requirements.
Oversee quality assurance & control across converter stations, HV equipment, civil/mechanical works, and HVDC systems.
Conduct supplier/subcontractor audits and manage the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Lead Lessons Learned programs, embedding improvements from audits, NCRs, and commissioning findings.
Support FAT, SAT, inspections, and commissioning quality activities, ensuring traceable documentation.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to embed quality into design, supply, and execution.
Monitor and report quality KPIs and risks, driving continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in quality engineering on complex, safety-critical projects.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, EPC quality frameworks, and HVDC/IEC standards.
Experienced in NCR management, root cause analysis, supplier oversight, and lessons learned processes.
Strong stakeholder influence and ability to embed continuous improvement.
