Freelance Quantity Surveyor – Immediate Start – £400 to 500 per day – West Cambridgeshire

Your new role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to completion. Working closely with project teams, site management and senior commercial colleagues, you will manage costs, subcontract packages and commercial reporting while supporting successful project delivery.This is a long-term contract opportunity with a hybrid working pattern and the option to move into a permanent role in the future, should this be of interest.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or civils environments
• Strong commercial and contractual understanding
• Experience managing subcontractor packages, valuations and variations
• Ability to produce accurate forecasts, cost reports and final accounts
• Confident communication with project teams, subcontractors and stakeholders
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a wider commercial team
• Relevant construction, commercial or QS qualifications are advantageous
